Perhaps the front ones are considered the default and don't necessarily need "front" specified? I don't really know. I'm from the UK and here we tend to use two words for either, as in "back seat." Yes, and we usually say 'garden' instead of backyard

We do, but of course that implies one with a lawn and/or flowering plants. I've heard Brits say yard when they mean one that's just patio. Rarely though.

We don't usually have much in the way of front gardens either, now that I think of it. Not like where I lived in Canada, where you basically had a house set back from the pavement with a massive grassy area in front and back. I never saw the point of the front gardens though, no one ever sat in them or did anything in them other than mow the lawn.

Hi all, I love this thread. I guess I'm late to the party, but I can help with things like physics, academia and science in general, programming and all things related to Big Data (there's a buzzword if I've ever heard one). Because believe it or not, The Big Bang Theory is not actually very close to reality. Oh, and German language/culture. I can do that, too.

Hello everyone, I like this theme. I think I use sex toys very late, but I can have a lot of suggestions on theoretical knowledge. .
