My husband's car makes a really odd noise when he changes gear that's only just dissimilar enough to a fart noise to stop it being funny and make it irritating instead.

I can't stand the word 'Moreish'. "These biscuits are really moreish". The bleep is that supposed to mean? You want to eat more of them? That applies to anything that tastes good.

Moreish? Is that really a word or just some stupid thing my generation came up with? -_-

Moreish? I've never heard that.
What's the other one I hear today that I've never heard? I don't get it I guess. Feels? What?

I don't remember ever hearing that, but I haven't been in the UK since I was about four. :/

Another thing that actually is perfectly justifiable in annoyance (unless you're generalised society) is people walking in a large group and taking up the entire pathway. I get it, you want to keep your group together. Walk in twos or threes instead so people can pass you and get by you if they need to.
Most of the words that the younger generations have invented get on my nerves (especially when I hear older people using them) and I refuse to acknowledge that cray means anything. (though I'm pretty sure there's a similarly sounding word that's spelled differently that's used in regards to bodies of water and land masses but I could be wrong)

Maybe they're spelling it wrong? Moorish/ˈmʊərɪʃ; ˈmɔː-/ adjective1. of or relating to the Moors 2. denoting the style of architecture used in Spain from the 13th to 16th century, characterized by the horseshoe arch Also Morisco, Moresco

Yeah, moreish is quite common in the UK. I don't particularly like it either but I always interpreted it as meaning that something makes you want more of it.
Oh yeah and I hate the word "fanny."

I used to quite like that word, but I had only heard it as a name. Now I know what it means (And I'm not talking about the American meaning) I really can't stand it.

I play sidewalk chicken with people like that: just keep walking and brace for a collision. It's never amounted to more than shoulders glancing off one another because people do tend to move at the last second once they finally realize you're not going to accommodate their entitlement.

I've....never had people move from that. I must go in all the asshole populated areas........cause I've gotten shoved into walls and cars when I do that which is why I don't do it anymore but instead loudly complain that no one can get by them

I've already posted a couple things on this thread, but I wanna know what you guys think about this. My little sister's one of those people who shouts "Rape!" as a joke, usually when our dogs are jumping on her, and just tonight she said a show (Chasing Life) was racist because it didn't have any blondes. I told her it was kind of sick to joke like that and she pretty much just told me to shut up. She's fourteen so I know some of that's just her age, but it scares me that kids are so clueless these days. She doesn't think what she's saying is wrong or hurtful at all, but I find it incredibly offensive. Who's wrong or right here?

muskratthemink your sister makes me uncomfortable. I've had adult friends with her mindset (like they're in their 30s now). Some of which I had to get out of my life because they couldn't see how NOT funny shouting rape for shit like that was. No matter how many times I explained that. I'm honestly on the side of the fence of she's wrong but she's also refusing to listen (possibly, depending on how you go about it because that can have an effect too and if you're going off on her or making her feel like her words aren't heard then you are too but as I'm neither of you I can't say for sure yes or no who is right/wrong). Maybe sit her down and ask her WHY she feels that way about the show. And WHY she feels the need to shout rape as a joke. And then try explaining to her why rape shouldn't be joked about? I don't know. Sibling relationships are hard.
