Hey, I'm Katje. I came for the FSOG recaps and stayed for more snark. I'm a writer, self-employed, geeky, kinky, pagan, and genderqueer. (Zie/zir are preferred pronouns, but they/them are also acceptable.) I live in Hollywood North with Mr. Katje and our assorted collection of books (1000+), DVDs, video games, and piles of mess. Someday I dream of having a well-organized, clean house. I also dream about world peace and an end to misogyny. I'm a dreamer like that. That's about it. Oh, yeah, I do the Fifty Shades of Drinking vlog, where I read the books and play the drinking game, mostly because I hate my liver and feel it should suffer.

Hi I'm Pera aka Merlinslaugh. I discovered Jenny through her 50 Shades recaps and went on to enjoy the heck out of her books. I'm newly active on Twitter and post to Jenny's blogs a time or two. I'm also active on an Amazon forum that came in for some stick from Ann Rice a while back so I guess I doubly qualify for my 'Gansta bully' tee shirt; though I'm still puzzling out how saying you don't like a book measures as bullying? I'm really looking forward to checking in here and posting.

Hey all! I go by Mierin. I found Jenny's blog and laughed my ass off (figuratively speaking, of course.) I've always wanted to say thanks to Jenny for reading the books so I didn't have to (I'm pretty sure I would have rage shredded the first one if I'd tried to read it. :-P). good to meet you all!

Hey. My name is Christina and I'm yet another reader who found their way here through the Fifty Shades recaps. After enjoying the hell out of those and checking that I did, indeed, have one of Jenny's books already on my kindle, I stuck around. I am seriously loving the BtVS and Apolonia recaps right now and have considered watching Merlin so that I can follow those recaps, too. I love reading the comment sections here (though I never comment myself), so I'm excited to see a forum.

Why hello there, Trout Nation! I'm Suzy, otherwise known as BragandBounce. Came for the 50SoG recaps; stayed for the smut, snark, awesome community, and shared fandom. Talk nerdy to me and we'll be fast friends. My resolution this year has been to "Just write," and my participation in this community has and will hopefully continue to help keep the words rollin' from me! I hope the forums will really take off!

Hi Trout Nation! I'm Xebi, pronounced "zebby." (My real name is Sarah and my younger brother struggled with pronunciation when he was a kid so it came out more like "zebra" and the name kind of stuck.) I am very British and live in London. I have loved Jenny very much ever since I discovered the 50 shades recaps way back when, and I'm not going away any time soon. Occasional tentative commenter but very eager reader. One thing I love about Trout Nation is the rants about the sort of social justice stuff I like to rant about. The launch of this forum is very well timed because I have just had an exhausting week trying to get through to some horribly sexist and homophobic people and I'm feeling somewhat drained with a side order of residual anger. So I'm totally into joining a community of people who aren't fuckwits and may have similar views to my own. I recently started a feminist/social justice blog, but nobody reads it... And have over 1k books and a very avid book reader. Where do you keep your very avid book reader? I can't find space for mine.

Hi all, I'm Sophie. That really is my name, and it is quite odd reading The Boss series because of that. I found Jenny's blog through the 50 shades of abuse recaps and I stayed for the snark. I'm British, I live in the South East of England although I'm originally from the north east. I am also a geek, avid reader, cat lover, wheelchair user, wannabe YA writer, doting big sister, and madly in love with my partner of 8 years. There are other things that I am but I am struggling to think of them because I've only had one cup of tea this morning.
I love this community for many reasons, but mostly in a world where I am constantly overcome with how ignorant and intolerant people are it's so nice to have a safe space. Here in a Trout Nation people are body positive, socially aware, feminist, and don't have prejudices about mental illness or disability. I know we get our share of trolls and drama queens but on the most part people are awesome. I'm really glad that Jenny has started up these forums because I'm always so interested to read what you all have to say but it can be really hard to follow the conversation in the comment section. Plus often the conversation stops when a new post goes up. So now we have a space where we carry on those conversations.

Quinn here. Writer, reader, general interwebs hater... referred here for the 50SoG amazingness from GOMI of all places. Stayed because AWESOME.
Seriously, I lost three full days of my life binge reading the 50SoG posts. Ama-ZUH-zing.
Hello fellow Trout peeps. I bake cookies.

I'm Jodi, and I live in Austin, TX aka the one part of the Lone Star State not being taken over by the Tea-pocolypse. I also came for the 'FSOG' recaps and stayed for the fun. Weird note...my last name is Scaife, and my representative character in a friend author's unpublished series is Sophia. I am not in the last like Sophie from 'The Boss' though! LOL

Hullo everyone! I'm G aka browncat. I came to know of Jenny from Mara Wilson's tweet about The Boss, then I found the 50 shades recap and got hooked ever since. I love to read, and recently I realized that I'm into age-gap/just slightly forbidden romances. I love meeting people who are open-minded and non-discriminating, and I think this community is all about that. Message me up anytime!

Hello everyone. I told myself years ago I'd never read the 50 shades books. Then one day I just had to to see just how bad they really were. Totally embarrassed taking them out of the library, but better then buying them. I think I scared my husband a few times yelling and cursing at the books. I couldn't believe so many people thought they were great, sexy, romantic. I just had to see if anyone out there hated them as much as me. I found Jenny's blog. sighed a breath of relief and spent the next bunch of months going through posts. Then to my surprise someone posted that All About That Bass video. What the fuck is all I could think when I heard it. I again tried to see if I was the only person to hate it. Nope found Jenny's post on that one too. So when she started the forum I had to jump on board. I do hope some of these threads will be for members only since they can be personal and I don't want to deal with assholes. Like the weight and mental/physical health ones. But otherwise this place feels a little like a space I can come and be with others like me. Thanks Jenny!

Hello all! I'm Jessica. Like so many of you, I came for the FSOG recaps and never want to leave. Yes, Jenny Trout is my spirit animal.
I'm a mom, former lawyer and aspiring theater educator, doing a bunch of writing of late and inspired by all this to try my hand an anti-FSOG urban romance. So far it's proving to be as much about my life as a young lawyer in a big firm in NYC, but hopefully we'll get into the safe, sane, and consensual sexay time soon enough.
Also reading The Boss and trying not to down it all in one sitting, as my children burn the house down around me. It's hard, though.
I'm a big BPAL fan, and I'm also gateau on the bpal.org forum, if there happen to be any others around here.
I'm a New Yorker who relocated last summer to Vancouver, BC, with my Canadian husband and three sons. So far, life in Farthest Canuckistan is great, and I'm very happy to be missing the piles of snow that have buried my former residence recently.

Hi all. I haven't really commented but I read the blog a lot and I enjoy forums so figured I'd register. I found the blog through the buffy recaps, don't recall how, but ended up reading the rest because jenny is hilarious.

I found Jenny's blog while looking for reasons why 50SoG is terrible and am now lurking around, leaving the occasional comment. I go by Carolina West in the comments but I decided on something silly for the forum. I'm a new writer and, well, that's about it. So, here I am!
