I don't think anything needs to be said about this.

My riding teacher: Today you're going to ride my Lusitano. Consider it a Christmas gift. Me: Nope. It went better than expected, even if I never wanted to ride on a horse this sensitive/quick to react. And off course, knowing Oso's history of being hysterical, afraid of everything... He is almost 17 now, a lot calmer, still always checking for scary things, but not jumping aside, at least.

I've had my pet cat for 14 years. Dax was named after a Star Trek character. He was rescued from an animal shelter that was going to put him down because they considered him too vicious to be re-homed. That was 20 years ago. I've been looking after him for the last 14 years. Despite everything he was the biggest softy of a cat you could ever hope to meet. He wasn't just a pet to me. He wasn't even family. He felt more like a part of me. An extension of myself. And today he died.

I am so sorry. I know that words don't help in a situation like that, but I'll try anyway: I'm sure that Dax was very happy, living with you for so long, and that he had the best possible home a cat could ever have had. He knew what it was to be loved, and to be safe, and to be taken care of, and you were there for him for so many years. I don't know where he is now, but I'm sure that wherever it is, he got there safe and sound and knowing that you love him.

Our neighbor just said she'd kill our dogs if they ever jumped into her yard. With the way the idiots bark at hers, and have since we first got them, it doesn't surprise me. They bark incessantly pretty much any time they see something out there. People, squirrels, other dogs, it doesn't matter. Shock collars are pretty much impossible to get, and we don't have the money to put up a privacy fence. I'm starting to think that'd be the only way to solve the problem, putting up that fence so our dipshit dogs can't see anything.

Yet another lazy Sunday afternoon: (There are 3 dogs in this picture ;-) ) muskrattheminkI am sorry, that sounds terrible... I haven't found a way to stop my girls to bark at the neighbors, but I am lazy, I just don't spent time outside when they are outside ^^" You could try to teach them a comand to stop what they're doing, but that is time consuming and you need to be very strict for it to work. I guess a fence would be the easiest solution.

It just doesn't stick because Axel and Rebel are so spastic. And most of the time they bark so loud you can barely hear yourself shout over it...

Yes, it's the cutest thing ever <3 I have this picture of Neela (left on the above pic) as my twitter-ava: Yeah, my girls will only obey as long as I am close. Otherwise, they'll go: "You can't touch us!" and do their business *sigh* The only reason my neighbors aren't on the fence is, that Whippets prefer to spend 18-20 hours a day sleeping as pictured above ;-)
