For all that stuff that just doesn't fit anywhere else!
And this'll be the last thread I make, I promise!

I have been putting off getting my hair cut for the longest time. I don't even know why, I don't have any kind of fear of getting my hair cut and actually enjoy changing up my look. I think it's because I don't have a "regular" stylist, and sometimes I get bad haircuts from bad stylists, so that sits in my mind. My last hair cut was in October, and it is definitely far past time to get it cut. I keep putting it off, or have an actual reason to not squeeze it into my schedule.

For years, I'd go to have my hair cut once a year: a few days before Christmas, as a treat for my mother ^^" But then, the lovely ladies at the riding stables decided, that needs to change. And now I am invited every three month, when their hair stylist visits.

I've been growing my hair out since last November or December. My original plan was to donate it last weekend, but for some reason that didn't happen. So now I'm deciding I'll wait until summer is over to do it. And since we're on the subject of hair, I'll add on a question I've had on my mind recently. Has anyone ever wondered why touching hair and nails isn't 'gross' until it's not attached anymore? What's with that?

I have very long hair more because it's cheaper to maintain than going to a stylist every six to eight weeks. However, I've gotten so used to it that I hardly ever let stylists touch it. However, as long as my mother is willing to pay for me to visit her hair salon once a year I will allow her stylist to trim it up and give me a pretty "do" for a few hours (she usually curls my hair, but my hair is so fine it flattens almost immediately).

I went to the same hairdresser for about 10 years until very recently. I finally plucked up the courage to leave them after for the millionth time my stylist failed to listen to what I said or flat out refused to do what I wanted ("Layers through the back? Oh no we won't do that, it'll make your hair look super fine." "I think going that short would be a bit too drastic a change. We'll take a couple of inches off this time and see how you feel next time") not to mention stabbing me in the head a number of times with her scissors. Why did I wait so long?

I can actually understand the "too drastic" line of thinking. Sometimes people have unrealistic notions of how a certain style will look on them because it looks nice on whatever celeb. So it could be the stylist trying to keep their client from getting a style that doesn't suit their face. Kinda like how that shaved on the bottom type bob that Miley Cyrus has looks horrible on her because her face is round; but on Scarlett Johansson, that style looks really good, because she has a more angular face. The stylist doesn't want you to be Miley when you could be Scarlett. But at the same time, a good stylist would actually explain why a certain cut would or wouldn't work with your face, just saying "that's too drastic" sounds they're either lazy or don't have the knowledge or skills to do a particular style.

I'm very, very lazy when it comes to haircuts. I normally only get one roughly once a year and even then it's just self-done (As in, number two all over). There was a time when let it get so long that I could literally sit on it (And since I'm a 6 foot guy, that says a lot), but I got fed up of that when people kept mistaking me for a girl (But now I've come to terms with being gender-fluid, I miss it). My last 'haircut' was at the end of December. I shaved my entire head (And beard), but messed it up on one side, so I had to go closer than I planned. It did not look good. A few weeks later though and it filled out.
I keep meaning to go to a proper stylist. Multiple people have told me that a number two on the sides and a 'neatening up' on top would suit me.

That's true but I was talking shoulder length (or just above)! I said I wanted a change, but she took so little off that I didn't even notice the difference.

Is anyone else currently having trouble with youtube trolls? I've been targeted by not one, but two because I dared to say a vocaloid song reminded me of the Five Nights at Freddie's game series. Here's the song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQKGUgOfD8UNormally, I would just ignore morons like this, but for some reason I felt the need to defend my thought regarding this.

YouTube comments are the equivalent of graffiti in a truck stop restroom. No good comes of reading the comments. I learned that a long time ago.

I've learned to never read the comments of any large site, but youtube seems to be worse than other sites.
*editing to add instead of making a new comment*
A few months ago I went through and cleaned out who I follow on tumblr. I found that I was seeing the same 6 or seven posts repeated over and over, with the same people reblogging from each other. A day or so later I got an ask wondering why I unfollowed them, and I said I unfollowed repetitive blogs because there was a ton of repeats on my dash. She kept messaging me, telling me how much I sucked, and kept incessantly reblogging my posts over and over again with snide remarks. After two days of seeing her be "Single Blue Tumblrite" I blocked her.

There are few things more awkward than somebody asking you why you unfollowed them on social media. I had someone email me after I did a Twtter purge and I told him that I couldn't picture his face and therefore wasn't sure if I actually knew him.
It got worse when I ran into him at a poetry reading and he introduced himself and asked me "Now do you recognize me?"
"No," I said in all honesty.
I don't think I'd ever seen what sulking looked like until that moment.

I finally decided to go and get a proper haircut. The aforementioned number 2 on back and sides with a neatened top. And while I do rather like it, I can't help but feel that I'm starting to look like the guy who plays General Talbot in Agents of SHIELD. I do look younger though. If I shaved I could probably pass as a teenager.

Re: social media stuff I'm so glad tumblr FINALLY fixed their block system. It's making my feed a lot more nice (now if people would stop reblogging the post with over 1k notes on it....or was it over 10k? I'd be a lot better) and a lot less stressful.
On the topic of haircuts, I DESPISE hair stylists telling me they won't do something because they think it's "too drastic" (no. too drastic was me basically getting a buzz cut/military cut when I turned 19). I've had my hair so many different lengths I KNOW what works for me at this point. And someone who doesn't know me arguing with me ticks me off. As it is I go once every 2 years or so to get my hair cut. And am tempted to cut all my hair off right now because a)it's hot as balls here b)my hair is really thick and really heavy c)it's giving me worse headaches cause of how heavy it is when I put it in ponytails but can't leave it down cause I don't like eating my own hair regularly or looking through my hair like the girl from the ring (kid you not slightest gust of wind will do that to my hair if it's down).
