Oh that is SUCH a great show. What an amazing performance. I was so sad when it ended. I want more!

So thanks to this thread I started watching The Almighty Johnsons - hellooooooo Olaf! OMG new crush. I may spring for a trip over the road to do some mild stalking.

The only currently-airing show I really watch is Broadchurch. Mostly I kick around Netflix and rewatch my faves, lots of Buffy and X-Files mainly. Bragand, are you watching the US or UK Broadchurch? I watched all of the UK one and want to give US a pop. It blows my tiny mind that DT stars in both.

Yeah, do you reckon you would give it a pop, Ms Scaife? All I know about it is that Skyler White plays Olivia Colman, and the guy from "It's A Boy Girl Thing" plays Jimmy Olsen. And the plot twists are different.

Honestly, I haven't heard anything particularly good about Gracepoint, and since it doesn't seem like it's coming back for another season, I'm hesitant to try and get into it. I'll probably watch it eventually, if only because my eyes enjoy David Tennant, but it's pretty low on my radar atm.

I've gotten really into Poldark recently. Aiden Turner is a gem. And I love how I can watch Demelza grow and flourish and bloom. I haven't read the books but are well spoiled. Fingers crossed for a second season.

Fingers crossed for a second season. As I've mentioned elsewhere on here, ahem, I am quite knowledgeable about Poldark, and I have mixed feelings about this series compared to the old one from the 70s. It's quite good though but I definitely preferred some of the actors in the old one. I've read all the books too. But I have also been a fan of Aidan Turner since he started in Being Human so it's nice to see him.

I think it is good that I never saw the 70s show or read the books. I will watch the rest of the show and then read the books. Can you recommend them?

Yes, I loved Being Human too, although I could not watch it after all the original cast left! (well, ok, more or less original - I know there were different people playing the ghost and the vampire in the pilot), I just did not see the point of it continuing after that, and well, it didn't exactly go on much longer then. I can definitely recommend the books! I have been irritated by the BBC encouraging a 'Team Demelza' 'Team Elizabeth' thing, Poldark is about a lot more than those relationships.

I watch Criminal Minds (I know, I know, it's gotten pretty lame lately, but I can't give it up), The Originals and Game of Thrones. I made it through all five seasons of the US version of Shameless, and that was a chore. Currently looking for good TV to watch.
