Katya is definitely the diminutive of Yekaterina (Katherine) in Russian too From the few clips I saw I didn't even think Jamie Dornan managed to get rid of his accent. He still sounded like Belfast boy to me. He is really good in The Fall where he doesn't have to suppress the accent though so maybe you're right

Yeah actually, listening to him in that short clip was really stressful because I could tell how hard he was working to keep the accent to a minimum. And he doesn't sound American either, does he? Plus, he is way hotter in real life. He needs the beard otherwise he looks twelve. They Made Their Romantic Lead Less Hot. Grr.

So did you all see Jenny's review? it seems still like there is more discussion over on her blog than here. Including a 50 Shades apologist putting her oar in!

So. Much. Love. I'm thinking about going, just for the lulz. I'm generally terrible about watching movies, though. I love Anthony Lane so freaking much. It's like this movie was made just so he could review it.

Anthony Lane's review is great, but I am a bit disturbed by some reviews I have seen by imdb users and other general public type men. There really is an emphasis on the idea that 'women are stupid because they like this crap'. This just depresses me even more about the books/film. Some excerpts: 'I'm sorry, women are idiots (NOT ALL OF THEM). Only women would read an erotic novel and think it's an excellent piece of romantic literature.' 'The session was full of giggling middle-aged women, wetting themselves with anticipation - I cannot believe this book and movie has appeal. Are women really so bored, so desperate, that this is what gets them off??' I feel like 50 Shades is just giving the pigs of the world more fuel.

I had to click out with that one user saying that Ana didn't need to safeword because she "asked for it" and since she never signed a contract, it didn't fall under BDSM rules. Bless Jenny and the others trying to reason with some of these people.

I've just stumbled upon this trailer for 50 Shades Darker on YouTube! m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=OuAjX3NuFUI I don't get it, how can they already be that far along with it and with a new actor? Hard to tell if the girl is still DJ though. Edit - oops, it looks as if it wasn't a real one. Don't mind me

The movie's down to 24% on RT with 155 rotten reviews. Let's hope the first number keeps dropping and the second one keeps rising. And I'm starting to wonder what the film could've been if EL had kept her hooked nose out of it. Guess now we'll never know. :/

I just finished reading this review and I like the bundling plot inside.
