I vaguely remember watching this when I was little, I absolutely love old cartoons, and I just have one thing to say about it. If your angels are creepier than your devil, you done screwed up.

So Oliver and Bo were sleeping next to each other on my bed earlier, like they usually do. While Oliver's snoozing, he ends up kicking poor little Bo in the face, to which he awoke with a sleepy little meow. He also then proceeded to jump up on my dresser, determined to stay as far from his big brother as possible. XD

So, one of my favorite webcomics, Petunia Violet, will no longer be updating. The artist actually stopped posting in the middle of September last year, and from what I've been able to gather, it's mainly because she wanted to avoid the responsibility of fulfilling fanzine orders she'd taken. Everyone had already paid, but she wouldn't send them out. At first, it seemed like she was just overwhelmed but was working on the problem. As time went on, however, it became more and more obvious that she had no intention of fulfilling the orders at all. She was still pretty active in the webcomic world, though, even posting an entire story, and there's apparently been no end of fanart from her. But a lot of this was going on on Japanese sites and other places like that, it just seemed to be Petunia Violet-related things she was avoiding. She also deleted the comments on the website, so I have no idea how the rest of the comic's fanbase is feeling about it, but I'm pretty sure most of them are just as steamed about it as I am.

I made another MLP video, this time a mashup!
So this is my third song edit and my second mashup, though my first one got taken down for "copyright" problems.

I'm reading The Columbus Affair for the second time, and I'm not really sure if I'm going to finish it. It's not that I don't like the book or think it's bad, there's just a main character I have a big problem with. See, the basic plot is Tom Sagan, who used to be a world-renowned reporter, is right about to commit suicide because of how his life has gone for the past eight years. He's stopped just before pulling the trigger by this guy, Simon, who holds a picture of Tom's daughter Alle up against the window. Simon asks Tom to sign some papers to exhume a family member's grave, saying Alle will be in a lot of trouble if he doesn't.
My problem is with Alle. I'm not sure if we're supposed to sympathize with her or not, but I certainly can't. She just comes off as a completely petty, vindictive, self-righteous bitch. Not only does she tell her father to leave her mother's funeral (seriously, who does that??) but she faked being abducted so her father would sign the paperwork about the grave. I can't remember if she ends up dead later in the book or not, but I am really hoping she does.

My sister gave the dogs chicken covered in BBQ sauce (and a bagel covered in cream cheese) earlier tonight, and while Axel is supposed to have the more sensitive tummy, Rebel's the one who ended up throwing up twice. He also tried going back to eat it both times, which is something I've always found disgusting with dogs. Anyway, the first time my sister got stuck cleaning it up (in her usual overdramatic way), and then the second time I was stuck doing it. When I pushed Rebel back so I could clean it up, he growled at me and bit my hand. He's never growled at me before, but he has bitten me, though only enough to leave bruises. He seems to be feeling a lot better now, though, just snoozing away on the couch while Axel's snoring in his crate. He just walked right in there when I was on the computer earlier, which is weird because he usually avoids his crate until bedtime.

My mom won a chocolate mint plant last week and today I discovered that it's covered in aphids! I think I managed to get most of them off, but how do I keep them from coming back?
Edit: The plant went downhill pretty fast after the aphids, by the end of the day it was pretty much dead. I decided just to trash it. No one in the house really uses mint all that much anyway.

My sister used all our cell phone data again, even after our mom increased the plan from 10GB a month to 12GB, all because she just has to have her phone connected to the internet at school. She shouldn't even be allowed to have it out, but for some reason they're super lenient about that, even though they're strict as all hell about everything else.

I always thought Patisserie Valerie's logo looked rather like a vagina, but maybe it's just me. To me it looks like someone sliced France down the middle, at least from a distance.

This is going to be a wall of text, so bear with me, because I am really, really pissed off right now.
Recently, I learned two very disgusting facts. The first is how many people believe a man can't be sexually harassed, especially by a woman, even more so an attractive woman. The second is that if a man or boy is raped by a woman and she gets pregnant, her VICTIM is then forced to pay support for that child, at the risk of being thrown in prison and every other consequence that comes from not making those payments. It wasn't even until this freaking decade that it was decided to change the laws regarding rape to include male victims as well as female. I also learned my mother is in favor of the repulsive stereotype that men want sex all the time and that it is impossible for a woman to rape a man. I am not sorry to say this, mother, but you and everyone else who believes that are FUCKING IGNORANT!!! It is just as possible for women to use coercion, blackmail, threats and violence to force men into sex as it is for men to force women with the same methods. How the hell can that be so difficult to understand???
Let's say a news story breaks that a female teacher slept with one of her male students. The first reaction many people have is to say he was lucky, especially if she happened to be attractive. Now, picture that same scenario with a male teacher and female student. What would you think then? Exactly, that he's a pervert and needs to be in jail. What the serious flying fuck is with this double standard? It is completely screwed up and needs to change! And in case it still isn't clear enough, let me spell it out this way. Your son, grandson or nephew comes to you and says one of his teachers touched him inappropriately and/or offered a better grade on a test or paper if he performed a sexual act with them. I'm guessing it wouldn't matter if it were a man or woman who did it, you'd be calling for them to be fired and thrown in prison.
And what about if your husband or boyfriend starts complaining about being sexually harassed at work by one of his female coworkers? My guess is your first thought would be what he did to bring it on himself, since as everyone knows men think about sex and how they can get it every seven seconds. And then you decide to drop by his workplace one day and see him with the same woman he's been talking about. Again, your first thought would most likely be that he's cheating on you and claiming sexual harassment to cover it up. Get the full story before just assuming, otherwise you might find yourself watching him walk out on you because he thinks you see him as a liar and rabid horndog. And he would be right.
And while I'm on the subject of rape and sexual harassment, I will say (again) that rape jokes ARE NOT FUCKING FUNNY and the pathetic, immature assholes who make them are much of the reason why rape is being taken less seriously. It is a serious crime that has claimed millions of lives and continues to do so. I am also going to bring up the disgusting practice universities love to take part in. If one of their male athletes rapes another student, they will do whatever it takes to make sure it gets swept under the rug, including blaming the victim because of what she was wearing and how she was acting at the time of the incident. There have been cases where the girl was asked pointblank to rescind her accusations, which is one of the most desperate, ass-backwards practices I can think of. It is so, so pathetic how so many schools are more concerned with their sports programs than the welfare of their students. You'd think they'd be more worried about the fact they're letting rapists go free getting out, which would mean less people will be inclined to go anywhere near their school in the first place.
I'm also going to be posting this to Facebook and Deviantart, because I want as many people as I can to see this.

The parents were pushing and shoving? That is just sad, those poor kids. It does remind me of one of the places I worked that would do trick or treating at halloween. This one woman comes up with her kid who was a toddler and said to the kid, "take as much as you can" and the mom scooped up almost the entire bowl of candy and dumped it in the kid's bag. I found a small hope in the thought that the kid would probably have a massive sugar high, which would hopefully annoy the mom, because toddlers and lots of candy can be a dangerous thing I get the feeling most of that candy didn't actually go to the toddler, since I've seen parents trick-or-treating with four- and five-month-olds pull the same stunt. Like their kid is gonna be eating candy any time soon... Some people are just greedy hoarders by nature and can't feel good about themselves unless they get the most the fastest, even if it means ruining what are supposed to be fun events for children. I've actually heard some of those people admit they act even worse if the event is for kids because their parents never took them or some nonsense. You'd think that'd make them more likely to do whatever they could to make those events better, but sadly that's not always how it works out.

My two dogs must be part whippet then, they don't like anything cold and wet, either. XD
Except ice cubes, they love chowing down on those.

I just read an article about an Easter egg hunt PEZ set up across from their visitors' center in Connecticut. The event was supposed to be three staggered hunts organized by age group, with eggs laid out and hidden in three separate fields. Unfortunately, many parents not only let their kids gather eggs before the first hunt started, but when it actually did, they stormed the field like it was a 10ยข sale on Black Friday. Actively pushing children and other adults aside in an effort to gather as many of the 9,000 candy-filled plastic eggs as they could. No one was seriously hurt, thankfully, but it ended with hundreds of disappointed and crying kids, one four-year-old even ended up having his basket broken. PEZ employees tried to make up for it by offering free candy and coupons to those who didn't get any eggs, but even that wasn't enough to salvage the mood. Here's hoping things go a lot better if they decide to try this again next year, though I don't think too many would blame them if they stopped the hunts entirely after this disaster. Sigh, leave it to the rotten apples to ruin the fun for the rest of us, here's hoping they're proud of themselves.
