I'm sure I'm not the only crafter on here...mainly because I know Jenny knit a Doctor Who scarf last year, so there's at least ONE more person on here. Anyway. I am currently working on knitting a scarf for my MIL! ...that I have been working on for like 3 years. I just pulled it back out of the hiatus bin. *cough* Here is a picture! Future plans include making myself a shawl and eventually, if I ever have the money, making another Doctor Who scarf that I will keep instead of giving to my ungrateful shithead ex boyfriend. (Actually I should really finish that one in the next 8 months so the officiant can wear it at the wedding of Katje and Mr. Katje...wonder if I can put yarn into the wedding budget? That's totes approps, right?) So, what are y'all making?

Ooh pretty colours! Normally I'm always in the middle of making something but right now I'm more focused on getting the house ready for the impending arrival of my first child. But you have inspired me! I always go to every match of my local football team (that's football of the soccer variety) and I think now might be a good time to start knitting a baby sized football scarf

I do lots of stuff from knitting to quilting to sewing clothes. I also paint on canvas and glass. I draw, do some botanical drawings with colored pencil. I do photography and gardening too. Not sure if that other stuff counts in this thread.
But right now I'm working on four quilts. A small winter themed throw. And baby quilt for a friend. And 2 twin size quilts for my niece and nephew. Plus sewing a bunch of other stuff. But the glass painting is new to me so I've been ignoring other things the last two months. I really need to get back to the sewing and quilting!! The baby is due in 23 days for one!! yikes!

Does woodworking/finishing count?
We just finished a console table and I am trying different stains to decide how I want to finish it.
On deck: sanding the kitchen table to remove the old cracked and peeling finish and refinishing that. I may paint the base as well. Dunno yet.

Oh I'm going to re-do our island. I was rolling out pie dough and noticed the finish coming up as I washed it!!! yikes!! I bought some stuff that is supposed to seal butch block, so we'll be sanding it down and putting that on then repainting the sides/drawers/shelves. You should post before and after photos!!

I sometimes draw. Here's a blog post from a couple of years back on an Oscar Wilde drawing I did. Click on the photos in the post to enlarge them. I started one of Theda Bara which I'll finish eventually. I haven't been feeling my creativity lately.

I'm knitting, always knitting.
Currently I am supposed to be finishing the Kaffe Fassett KAL afghan I made in the fall, but it's gotten so big that finding a place to work on it is a pain. It's going to be beautiful though.
I'm also making a varsity-style cardigan for my husband. It's the second time, because the first time it came out a big mess, all lumpy and the wrong size. Better this time, but it's kind of boring.
I'm momesq on Ravelry, by the way, if anyone is there.

Thanks! Green and purple are the MIL's favourite and I have a LOT of stash yarn in those colors, so. It seemed perfect. Normally I'm always in the middle of making something but right now I'm more focused on getting the house ready for the impending arrival of my first child. But you have inspired me! And a baby-sized football scarf sounds adorable. ^_^

I wish I had the time/energy/space to learn quilting. There are some amazingly beautiful projects out there. Annnnd I totally feel you on the "Crap, gotta get this ready for the baby that's coming any day now!" pressure. I once knit a baby blanket that took me so long it changed recipients several times (none of them ever knew what I was planning; I figured that was safest). I finally gave it to my friend a year ago for her firstborn, and it's apparently become "the woogie", ie security blanket that the baby never wants to be without. So that's pretty awesome. But yeah, it takes me forever to finish projects, so.

I've never done a KAL before, mainly because of startitis, but the LYS has a UFO-off KAL for Jan 4th till Feb 26th and I'm wondering if I can finish MIL's scarf in that time. Even though I just picked it up again a few days ago. And garter stitch bores me to tears.

This was my first KAL, and it was kind of a weird experience. There were a lot of Kaffe fangirls in the group, and if anyone complained at all about the project, there would be those little Ravelry thrashes where people tell you you're just being ungrateful and so forth. Also, there was a lot of the equivalent of the kind of comments you find in online recipes -- you know, where people are like "I don't know why this recipe got so many positive reviews. I made it just like the instructions called for, only I substituted whole wheat flour, eliminated all but one of the eggs, and used cilantro instead of cinnamon. It tasted terrible."
I really want to finish these two projects and move onto something new. I have a few things lined up for myself in my stash.
Thanks for the nice comments about my projects! Will go check you out over there.
