I feel that if aliens discovered our planet and started trying to understand our species through our choices of entertainment, all of humanity would have to apologise for the existence of Uwe Boll. At least things get better this week. gbhreviews.blogspot.com/2017/01/spartacus.

Has it really been since September? Dang, I suck. But anyway, my New Years Resolution is to update every Thursday, no exceptions. So here's a review of a movie that I had assumed was a knockoff of Frozen, but actually came out earlier. By a year. gbhreviews.blogspot.com/2017/01/the-snow-queen.html

Next time I start developing feelings for a sociopath, I'd really appreciate it if someone could hit me upside the head with a shovel. Not enough to kill me, but enough to knock some sense into me.

I'm going to the London Comic-Con tomorrow and I'm cosplaying as the Dread Pirate Roberts.

I'll be honest, the 'Sexy Pikachu' and the 'Sexy Alexander Hamilton' costumes do look pretty sexy to me. Though they could have just called them 'Pikachu Dress' and 'Female Admiral'. Nothing about the outfits are inherently sexual. I think it's pretty much just marketing by this point. You could slap 'sexy' on a pile of tuna guts and there would be people lining up to buy it. I guess it's for being found on Internet searches.

This may come out as a bit of a rant, so I apologise. But I think I've found another problem with modern teen romances which is affecting teenage behaviour. Basically, it's how the female leads treat their 'Other choice' character. You know what I'm talking about, where she's obviously going to be getting with one guy but has another male friend she's 'Sort of' into but you know she isn't going to choose because the book you're reading is a cliche. Like Ana with Jose and Bella with whatever the Werewolf's name was. Same in Appolonia (Although I can't remember any of the names. The undercover dude). When the female lead is with the main interest she fawns all over him and that's what we expect. The problem is that when he's not around, she fawns all over the backup choice. Which is bad enough. But since these books are written fro inside her head, we know that she knows the other guy is into her. So she's basically toying with his emotions for her own gain. More problems arise when she realises who she truly wants. What's the typical reaction of a teenager when she crushes on someone? Telling her best friend. But when her best friend is also her backup choice, things get iffy. Because this means that she's basically telling a guy that she knows is into her all about some other guy she's crushing on. Which, I can tell you from experience, is the most hurtful thing a girl can do to a guy. It gets worse. These books give the girl no comeuppance for these actions. I'm not saying girls deserve to be stabbed for things like this, I'm not a psycho. But in these stories, the guys always come to terms with things and move on and forgive the girl, often apologising for being 'Selfish' by not wanting to hear about her crush. In reality, the girl is effectively telling the guy that his thoughts and feelings don't matter to her. There should be some comeuppance to show that this kind of behaviour is despicable. The other guy should leave and it should hurt her. I've always believed that actions have consequences. And I believe that other people being hurt is a massive one. This kind of story teaches girls that the feelings of others don't matter. Which I don't think is a particularly great moral.

I've heard a couple fan theories about how Sunset knew what was going on in Equestria while she was in the human world: either pony Flash Sentry was sneaking through to tell her or Celestia was still writing to her. Since she can apparently predict the future, or something like that, she probably gave Sunset whatever info she felt was needed to get things rolling. After all, it wouldn't be the first time she pulled a stunt like that, right? And that Sokka gif you used was freaking perfect. XD But the portal was closed for 30 Moons and Flash was a newly appointed guard. And in Rainbow Rocks Sunset reveals the book and blows all of the dust off of it, stating that she hasn't used it in years. My personal theory is that another creature was planting the information in her head, possibly in her dreams. Starswirl threw quite a few creatures through that portal and if one had a sibling with a psychic link on the other side, they'd be able to communicate.
