Oh the hell... I'm trying to write a super hero story, but as always, I have a way to big cast and thus, am running out of ideas for super powers... I guess I should delay writing the introduction of the hero team and skip to the fun part, I have all the powers for team villain ;-) Is it a deconstruction? I once read a brilliant superhero novel called Soon I will be invincible! which was set in a world that had lost its' Superman expy. It was told half from the perspective of the super-genius villain (Hence the title) and half from the perspective of a newly recruited team member. Readers these days expect superhero stories to be ridiculously complicated with decades of unexplained backstory, so having a new person joining an already-established team is a good way to ease the reader into it. It worked with the original X-men movie.

(Sorry for the double post). Was that James Marsters? I checked IMDB, that's James Marsters! That's Spike! And I also just watched Mythica. The guy from that's in it too. I'm hooked. I must watch.

There's a very fine line between being politically incorrect and being offensive. It's ok to make jokes, as long as it doesn't stray into casual racism. Which can be harder than you'd think.
And I have no problem with Tumblr. It's no better nor worse than any other form of social media.

There are two kinds of people, those who think "Die Hard" is a Christmas movie, and those who are wrong I admit, I haven't seen "Despicable Me 2" yet, but it looks like I didn't miss anything. OH, the hero needs a love interest! Hetero, of course, not to give those kids the wrong ideas Would have been a lot funnier, if she turned out to be the villain and El Macho the love interest. But that's probably just me. But then how would the writers have justified Gru's hatred of his daughter's first boyfriend? I'd be willing to bet that the upcoming third movie will give each of the girls a hetero love interest of their own. Possibly except Edith, because she's a tomboy and we all know tomboys are secretly lesbians

Something that gets me mad? The very concept of unsliced bread. Why does anyone bother buying it? There's a reason the phrase "Best thing since sliced bread" was penned.

I feel bad that I don't know what POC means. People of Color It is a group term for everyone who is not white, Asians, Blacks, Hispanic... Ah, In that case, I concur that those people can go F themselves.

I've had my pet cat for 14 years. Dax was named after a Star Trek character. He was rescued from an animal shelter that was going to put him down because they considered him too vicious to be re-homed. That was 20 years ago. I've been looking after him for the last 14 years. Despite everything he was the biggest softy of a cat you could ever hope to meet. He wasn't just a pet to me. He wasn't even family. He felt more like a part of me. An extension of myself. And today he died.

Being the only one in my German writers forum, who educates themselves with stuff like cultural appropriation is exhausting. Because, hey, what do we know about misinterpretation in Movies? After centuries of being casted as: Bavarian Nazis, Nazis, evil Arians and off course, the fat, wurst-eating comic relieve, from Bavaria. (seriously, I've never seen a Dirndl or Lederhosen in my live, outside from movies and pictures from the October Fest ) this rant was brought to you by the comment: Your post was overly moral! *rolleyes* Edit, Next post: "OH my god, this is so ridiculous! I will answer, as soon as I stopped laughing!" In high need to strangle arrogant stupid little fucks. I can sympathise with this. I get really annoyed whenever I see a "Royal Guard" joke in movies. You know the one where the main character will be walking past Buckingham palace and will pose with the sentries stationed there. Yeah that's not a real thing. Firstly, those guards are on the inside of the gates, not the outside. Secondly if they think you're a threat, they will remove you. Those guns are loaded and they're legally allowed to shoot you for any reason.

Good news on the Black Friday front. By all accounts it was a complete washout in the UK. Turns out one year of America-style shopping was enough.

I'm probably justified in this, but I do not like the PS4 internet browser. My laptop crashed (Completely kaput) and so I've had to use my PS4 to get online and it's so clunky. I've got a kyboard hooked up to it but it's still terrible. Especially Facebook. It doesn't send messages from the main screen, I have to go into the messages page itself. And normally I like to keep a tab open playing music on Youtube. Forget that, if I go two screens over it stops playing it. Worst thing though? Starting a new paragraph. Can't do it on the keyboard, I have to switch over to my control pad.
